I put in 7.5" fabtech lift and had 0 problems other than my front tires rubbing but had a rumbling sound at high speeds after putting a 1" daystar spacer kit and 1.5" add a leafs. We were puzzled for awhile and 2 days ago I was running down the highway and it seemed to be worse then all of the sudden my truck started smoking like crazy so when I pulled over the driveshaft actually pulled the rear seal out of my tranny When we got the seal temporarily pushed back in you could see way too much of my shaft was exposed ( thank god my tranny is ok) The guys here locally refuse to lengthen it more than 77" so I am trying to find a new model 2 piece from a 4 door with a carrier bearing to cut down for my truck (if anyone has one let me know). I have dug pretty hard for another solution but cant get a better plan from anyone. They tell me that if you take an aluminum shaft past 77" they will not last and the vibration will still be there.
Has anyone had this problem? If so how did you solve it?

Depends on what you have locally to yourself. Here in Denver is a place I use and they have OEM type shafts in stock, (usually) or they can custom fabricate one for you including the carrier bearing bracket. You may have to go that route, or check with some of your local 4x4 shops. They can at least point you in the right direction if they don't have the solution.
I am so confused Ive talked to about 50 people at various 4x4 shops and driveshaft shops and cant get the same solution from anyone. A local guy here that does a ton of custom trucks said it just needs a custom made aluminum spacer fabricated and the blocks cut to get my proper shaft angle. He swears by this being my best and cheapest solution he said he has done hundreds like that. What do you guys think?
So he is talking about spacers to "extend" the shaft? The blocks to change the pinion angle, is pretty common. The spacers....I haven't seen or heard of yet. Although, he could call it spacers and I could call it comething else. If he swears by it then go for it just make sure they balance it real good, and they give you a warranty on paper.
He is talking about making an aluminum spacer to go behind my driveshaft. Its real hard to get a warranty on modified vehicles however he has a great reputation for taking care of his customers.
