Gotta do what you gotta do -
Gotta go where you gotta go...

That is life.

We'll be around, you know where to find us man.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that any of you don't have a LIFE.

The time has come for me to hit submit & then log out of the FTE program. Besides, I'm a Chevy lover - what the hell was I doing here?
Parks. . . . . I hate to see you go. I too, have laughed and smiled because of your posts. You are a "Class Act."

(And yes, you were saying that we don't have a life.) (Just kiddin'!)

I'm a Ford guy because the 'General' did me wrong, but, I've got a bowtie or two still in the family. (OK guys, don't shoot me!)

Parks . . . Take care of yourself and your family. They are priority #1!

Come by and say Hi when you get the urge.

Adios, My Friend.

I find this thread a bit ironic since I met some of my very best friends here on FTE. This site actually CREATED a social circle for me when I'd been too busy to hang out with my friends. Have you tried getting together with anyone from the Tennessee chapter? Or are you just afraid they'll find out you're a Chevy guy?

I thought you made a post about this a year or so ago. Then you came back. We'll see.

Good luck in your "venture". Hope you "get a life".

We all leave for a while, once in every so often. A change in life every now and then is good...kinda like rearranging the furniture...makes it seem like a different house for a while. We all need some changes every now and then or we get to feeling stagnant.

Since I quit moderating, I've found more time to stop in and just read the posts I want to read and not feel obligated to be here and read everything, then try to keep posts within the guidelines without feeling bad about having to make any changes or comments.

Now, I go to Paltalk and if I'm not singing with friends, making new friends or just kickin back listening to a multitude of styles of music and relaxing. Thats the nice, mindless part. We recently had a concert for hurricane relief and took in just under $6400 in pledges in 24 hours. Even though we were sitting at home, doing our singing, we were broadcast on three internet radio stations at the same time. Now, they have picked the top 40 out of 125+ singers and are making two CDs. The CDs profits will all go to the same charities we had for people to donate to, so we are hoping that we can make close to $10,000 for all our efforts.

My point being..... even though we may not feel like we have a life on the internet, either here or in some chat room.... we all DO make a difference in each others lives and if we haven't yet..we will soon, somehow. All it takes is a little thoughtfulness, caring and sincerity.

Take care Parks. You always seemed to be a good, thoughtful poster. And like me, I only drop in now and then ( for now ), anyone who has ever taken the time to get to know me, knows I'll be back...this site is too good to just toss out of our lives forever.

You'll sure be missed, Parks. Be sure to check in now and then. The Night Shift won't be the same without you. If you see Mike W around, give him my best.

Take care, my friend.

Personally, I don't see how coming to this forum means you don't have a life.
The knowledge I gain here is priceless and would be next to impossible to get anywhere else.
Maybe u need to get married and have some kids and then u would really be happy.
The guy I sit next to at work tells me everyday the many reasons not to get married. He says as soon as his kids r old enough he is going to send his wife on her way.
Anyway, I see more fords on the road then chevys

I understand where you're coming from.
I've gotten to the point where about the only time I check in on the forums here or elsewhere (where I used to be pretty active) is when I'm at work and have time to kill.
When I'm home, there's just too much else I can find to occupy my time. I just feel guilty if I'm sitting home in front of the PC when the sun's shining. Don't get too many days on this earth, gotta enjoy em all.
