I am curious about my truck.Ok its a 1976 f-250 2wd it says Ranger XLT it has trim all over it outside upper and lower it came with cruise, I took that off I still have the black box and harness and sensors though. It has a red vinyl headliner, the interior is red ,it does have trim inside also woodgrain and chrome. It came with a 460/c6/dana 60 rear with 3:54 gears and had 16.5 inch rims on all 4 corners. It also came with twin tanks, and a/c and the proportioning valve. I have the info on it also here.
also my truck has the factory toolbox in the side of the bed, and i dont know if its standard but under the front it has a horizontal shock looks like, i guess steering stabilizer and it has some huge massive brakes front and rear.
i tried that just says its f250 2wd nothing special but it ive not seen any other trucks like it in person.A paer of me whats to restore it and another part wn\
wants to sell it and try another project.
well it appears it was originally the paint 2 tone red and white outside but all red inside with red interior,i know it has a vinyl headliner ,most trucks i saw had carboard looking or perforated ones.
yea this truck is 2wd i was gonna go all out on it a little at a time as i could, but im also a mustang fanatic . It looks good i mean has some body wear not near as bad as most ive seen ,its very easily restorable, and it ran great had plenty of power and get up and go,my family is all ford fans, as my uncle has two old ford truck a 77 f-250 and a 73 f-100 ,my grandpa has a 77 f-150 supercab, and my cousin a 77 f-100 stepside.
yea ive thought about that, but i dont want to go original if I do, me im a fan of slick bodys meaning no moulding or extra trim just sleek and smooth with nice paint and I like custom work you know custom interior and body.
The motor I tore down myself built it back up, painted it all ford blue, and its ford blue and some chrome, black also, the tranny when it was out, completely cleaned and washed it.If I could afford it id do a frame off resto but I cant.
My truck came the same way except it's a 4x4 supercab. I riped off all the emblems, and tore out all the interior. I'm hopeing to be done with it before next summer.
