You know I have to smart mouth comment on this post. Wife doesn't know where she's going? The display works in my Durango -- doesn't help my wife know where she's going either.
Do the basics first - check fuses, anything else not working?
No nothing related. Display on the radio is out but that has been for a long time. Yes I agree when it told her which way she was going she would still call me. It was usually left or right then.
I only found fuse #10 to be for the overhead console for a '99 but it also controls alot of other things so it's probably not the fuse. What year of X is it? On my '99 the button to turn it on (the mode button I believe) was a bit stickey
Did you ever determine the problem with your overhead display? My '99 F350 Lariat just lost the display (it has always seemed dim, but as of today it is completely out). Fuse is fine (10 amp in position 19). Everything else in the cab works fine.

No haven't had a chance. I probably will find what you did. Nothing wrong but the display. I'll post when I get to it. I'm not holding too much hope.
