hey guys, Im curious as to what your opinion is. I've read about having 2 transfer cases, 2 transmissions, or a gear reducer like the Klune V. Which do yall think is most reliable and the best idea? I am seriously thinking about one of these options, what is your opinion on either choice. All would be quite pricey, is there an alternative that i can look for in the salvage yard or something!!

Two trannies is just too many gears and the underdrives are too costly for me.
I've thought about the extra TC because you can pick one up pretty cheap. Mine has the divorced NP205 and I talked to a driveline place that said a drive line needs to be about 12" or more (maybe it was 18") Either way, I'd endup with two much shorter than that.
the other option is a direct bolt on TC then all you need is an adapter and then something to get back to your regular TC.
I personally think it's a great idea, I've seen websites that have this setup for Jeeps, but haven't seen kits for Fords.
What are you going to do with your truck? With an np435 (6.63) 4spd, a 205TC (2:1), and 3.55 gears you get 47:1 in LL. That equals around 4 mph at 5000rpms. With my 351M I can climb about any rock just idling. My bro has 2 TC's in his Jeep, and there isn't an trail I cannot follow him along drivng in my old beast.
The cheapest way I have found to put in 2 transfer cases is to use an NP203 transfer case, minus the chain drive. You would use only the gear reduction unit. You need to buy an adapter plate and shaft to connect the two units.
