Wiring For A 93 Bronco

I Had A 93 Bronco Go In The Shop For Some Work On The Steering Column And It Came Out Of The Shop With The Horn Hook Up To The Cruise Control And The Cigarette Lighter And Additional Power Point Aren't Working. Leaving Aside The Option Of Returning The Truck To The Offending Shop For Them To Untangle Their Mess What Shood I Look At While Trouble Shooting.

I've Already Looked At The Wiring Harnesses And They Can't Be Hooked Up Backwards Or Mixed Up. I've Checked The Fuses And Everything Is Good In The Fuse Bax. Any Suggestion Will Be Appreciated.

The horn switch and cruise control switch assembly use the same wiring through the column for power feed and return. The cruise uses a third wire whereas the horn switch only uses two. If they had the column far enough apart it is possible they reconnected the return line from the horn to the wrong terminal on the slip ring. This is more of a possibility since the "wiring" per se has no color coding above the slip ring in the column. The horn switch should be linked to the DARK BLUE and the DARK GREEN/ORANGE wires coming from the slip ring. The cruise control "on/off" switch should be tied to the DARK BLUE wire as well and the "coast" switch should be tied to the DARK GREEN/ORANGE too. The third wire from the cruise control switch assembly ties to a LIGHT BLUE/BLACK wire. The horn switch does NOT tie to this wire.

As for the cigar lighter and the auxillary power outlet, If fuses #16 and #9 are in working order, check to see if the light in the ashtray is working. If NOT (and its probably not if the fuses are good) check the chassis ground "F" which is located behind the drivers side kick panel near the parking brake pedal assembly. The lighter, ashtry illumination and the power outlet are all grounded here.
