New Windshield Wipers Blades
For the info of those who update their wiper blades. Parts houses have almost ceased stocking just the rubber blade part of the blade. You now have to purchase the whole rubber blade with the metal holder. Parts houses have found that in the past purchasers have often bought the wrong rubber replacement, only to return a damaged rubber replacement hoping for a refund or correct replacement.
My two replacement 20" blades, rubber and metal holder, cost $7.50 at Pep Boys. Anyone who lives in Barstow would need to know this as I know your rubber blades cook in the summer, just like mine. No, I do not take the blades off in the summer. Just one miscue with the wiper switch, and swish, you have a nice scratched windshieled to peek through.
