well just figured there is alot of transmission questions goin around so i thought i'd add to them, i drive a 95 f-150 everyday at work its got a 302 with a E4OD and it got 94000 original miles, my question is that when i am goin down the road i overdrive, it seems kinda like it just kicks into neutral for a second, then it'll kick back in, i have been thinkin about it, and have come to a conclusion that it may be a vaccuum leak to the modulator or its an internal leak, any suggestions and help on this would be apppreciated
Has the transmission fluid and filter ever been changed, the filter could be dirty not allowing fluid to pass through it causing the trans to slip. This happened on a Mustang we used to have and the fluid and filter change did the trick.

Greetings,
When you feel this, are you coming off the gas (coasting) then stepping on the gas again? If so, what you are feeling is the torque converter locking/unlocking. When you tap the brake pedal or (in some cases, depends on vehicle) come off the gas, the torque converter unlocks. When you step on the gas again, you will feel the torque converter slip (unlocked) then rpms go down smoothly, and the converter is locked.
This is just something to look for, and you may be chasing a problem that doesn't really exist.
