What heads do you have, what is your head flow, and what is your CR? Your motor may be an apple, but buttnuttn8 has an orange.
In buttnuttn8's motor with a Crane #529551 cam, Desktop Dyno says torque = 387@2000 RPM and peaks at 472@4500 RPM. The peak HP is 461@5500 RPM. These are simulated engine dyno numbers, chassis dyno data could be 30% lower.
danlee, so i guess we are going to start comparing apple's to orange's okay, well. I don't think you know how to use desk top dyno correctly or you should not take desk top dyno to heart. If i put in my engine specs they come out pretty close. You could be right about me lossing 30% if i had a newer model w/ all the accessories and a power robbing auto overdrive tranny. But i don't. So to answer your question i'm running 2V heads ported to the max. Leting the mixture in and out is a 2.10in valve and 1.69ex valve. I do not know what they flow but i will CC the runners, before i put them back together this time. CR was around 10.5 but i'm going to lower it to 9.5 to run on pump gas.
The motor that we were discussing has a CR of 9.87:1 and has stock 351C-4V heads. Ported 2V heads and higher CR will produce much better results. It has nothing to do with knowing how to use desktop dyno.
I can't simulate a motor properly without CR and head flow data. If I had those numbers for your motor, I might get close to what you say it is. But for you I won't even try.
sorry for all the questions im sure you guys are getting tired of me whats up with the parker funnelweb intake i never heard of such a intake and i sumbled arcross it the other day any information or people using it would be great
