AMSOIL EaA Air Filters

I'm thinking about getting this new type air filter.
$38.10 for a 4.0 Explorer.
Donaldson is a reputable company who has a patent on this air filter technology.

Opinions?

There is no benefit to using anything but the OEM paper filter.
Check out this truely independent air filter test:

Amsoil is a deceitful MLM company!!!!! I would stay away from them!!!

I appreciate your imput but that test uses the old oiled Amsoil air filter system.
The new EA filter is made from nanofibers and is dry.
I bought one and I do like it.
I'm not a fan of Amsoil engine oil but do use their trans fluid.
Mercon V in Explorers is a synthetic blend.

wow, i find it really hard to believe k&n came in last or next to last in all of the tests. most of those tests tested for dirt pass-thru, which i dont particularly care about. people get aftermarket air filters because they want more power. i, personally, notice a difference in switching from stock to a k&n in my otherwise stock 97 explorer 5.0.

K&N filters only helps performance at 5000 RPM and higher.
There's a rumor that applying the free K&N decal under the hood adds 5 HP.
I'm sorry to be a sceptic, but usadatanet.net isn't a non-profit organization, and I know GM would just love to have their filter (AC Delco) at the top of the list. Do you think they may have helped fund the test? Just maybe???
I've used Fram for forty-five years.....no problems. How's that for a test?
