Have An '01 F-350 Cc Sb Diesel Truck. Yesterday While Driving, It
Suddenly Died. Pulled Over And Started Right Back Up. And Never Did It Again (yesterday).
Today While Driving, I Explained To My Wife That My Truck Died All Of A Sudden Yesterday. Not A Mile Later, My Truck Bucked (jerked) And It Died Again. I Pulled Over And Tried To Start It But It Took A Couple Of Cranks To Start My Truck Up. I Went A Half Of A Mile And It Died Again, Started And Drove Another Half Mile And Died Again. Started Her Up Again And Drove Home.
What Do You Think The Problem Is? Cps Or Clogged Fuel Filter?
I Have 14,000 Mile On My Truck And Don't Know If The Previous Owner Changed The Fuel Filter.
It's pretty easy to do a visual inspection of the fuel filter. Just pull it out and see if it's black. Sounds like it needs to be replaced by now anyway so it's just regular maintenance. Most likely though it's gonna be your CPS. Go buy a new one (International Dealers are around $100) and replace it. Stick the old one in the glove box for an emergency spare.
