very nice reminds me of a article i saw in street rodder of a guy that used a cheap aluminum fry pan for a brake backing plate on his roadster good job!!!
If I didn't see it, I wouldn't believe it. It actually looks pretty good. No offense, AX, but the dog MDD looks better than the hoses you got going there. LOL.... Nice fabrication work.

I agree on the hoses, they will be replaced with braided SS ones soon, I didn't want to bleed down the AC just yet. I'm using all braided SS hoses throughout. That's the reason the MDD isn't attached to the firewall yet. It looks especially good when you see it in combination with the polished SS brake booster on the other side of the firewall.
This weekend I worked on the radiator support, new mounts for the electric fan and AC condensor. I'll be adding pics of the reasons why in a few minutes.
I may put a thin foam gasket under it to take up the difference. The rib isn't as high on my truck since I left a flange of the old firewall and put the smoothing plate on top. It's < 1/8".
