16" wheels
I am looking for some info on 16” wheels. I need 8 lug stock type wheels that will fit a 72 Dana 44 front end with drum breaks. The set I have will fit the Dana 60 rear end but will not go on the front end, they will not seat against the brake drum. Did Ford make a 16” wheel to fit this application? Any help would be appreciated.

16" 8 lug
Looks like the wheels I have are some kind of Chevy wheel. I think Ford welded their wheels together where-as Chevy riveted there’s. The ones I have are riveted together. I thought that the center hole was smaller on Chevy wheels, but not on these. Doe’s any one know of a chart that shows info on what fits what regarding Ford 8 lug steel wheels.
Will latemodel disk brake wheels work with the early drum brake set up? 16x7 8 lug is what I need.

jjz, Some of the Chevy wheels will fit. They all were using Dana axles back when thus the reason for the swap.
Late model wheels are centered by the lug nuts not the wheel opening, so the problem wont go away.
