Hello there! Wondering if any one can help me out here, I have been looking for a 4 door pickup older model so I thought I would have to go with a Dodge or an International, I knew that ford made a few four doors after the 60's so I figured one would be found some place....OK now the question Driving down the road the otherday I saw sitting in a row of old vehicles what apeared to be a 4 door something pickup I figured it to be an International, well today I took the field glasses along and parked where I could get a decent look at the tailgate FORD in red letters and moved up the road a bit to see a partal side view....three doors on each side! holy COW when would this have been made? It apears to be a short bed, cant see any side markers or any thing else it is white and has clearance lights on the top of the cab, and I can see three door handles and windows.
No one home so I will try back later and see if I can go up and see it....buy it.
Well thanks and if any one knows what this is or if it is some ones custome.
Thanks,
Cliff
Sounds like some sort of custom conversion. I've never heard of one of these stock and there's no mention of it in any of my service manuals.
Ford did make crewcabs starting sometime in the late 60's. At first they were custom coach conversions but later the factory started building them. By the 70's they were more common. My dad had a 76 crewcab. Good truck.
was it a import? there was alot of wierd options for the trucks overseas. I have seen quite a few pic's of oddball 73-79 trucks that were in Australia. not six doors but some were like a suburban but with a sliding door on one side and a reg second door on the other and a very short bed.
