Hi all, been wanting a new set of door panels for my 1990 ford f-150 for a while now being that they are becoming discolered and the driver side one apears to have grown a giant crack in it. I don't want to get another set of the XLT ones with that silly carpet on the door and was kinda leaning towards find either a good set of obs door panels to swap on or an older bullnose door panel as I like the look of those far far more than the brick-nose doors but I didn't know if they would fit and couldn't find anything on them. So my question is will it mount? Will I need to mod anything? I have a hand crack window not electric so I would also need to know if the hole for the crank is the same from year to year? Thanks in advance as always, Shadow.
went a looked and while 200 dollars is high for me I noticed they also had black panels as well so I guess I might be ordering myself a nice present come the next paycheck.
The OP has hand crank windows and I suggest a junk yard find if you want to save money.
I looked into replacement panels from Coverlay - Dashboard Covers, Door Panels, & Kick Panels and yes they are pricey. I would like to hear from someone who has bought them. I decided to repair the panels on my '91 instead of replacing them.
If you replace yours with Coverlay panels, let us know how it goes.

First if you don't like the XLT ones look into XL and custom ones as they have no carpet. Unfortunately however I haven't found anybody whom sells the non-carpeted ones.
92-96 door panels I believe do fit but one problem is that you need to change the wing vent window as 92-96s have a squared off wing vent window where as 80-86s have rounded ones.
The 80-86 door panels I am pretty sure do not fit because of the fact they don't have an indent to clear the dash. I am not 100% on this however personal don't like a lot of the 80-86 parts.

Went to the only junkyard in the county that has any amount of ford trucks like mine to find a set and ended up going through every truck except for one with either missing or screwed up door panels, after allot of looking I found a semi decent looking set of gray XL door panels and bought them for 20 dollars. They do not look perfect but they are in allot better shape than my old XLT ones and so far I've had no issues with them. I though about buying a brand new set but I just can't justify the price right now. My plan though for these gray ones when spring comes around is to clean them up really really good and pant them black to give them life.
I do like all the suggestions so far in terms of replacement panels I'm glad to see they are at least still being made.
