1964 3-speed trans question ???
Does anyoneknow of a company that sells the internal main shafts for the 1964 standard 3-speed manual trans? (HEF AT 023453)
I have put one in my 1954 Ford, but now after converting everything around it...I have been told it has some patches or dammage on the main shafts where the bearings run....this has been called pitting or water dammage.
any info would be appreciated!
thank you, Ed

Ed, I think that tranny was used for many years, so finding another complete tranny might be a cheaper option. I think also around 66 they became fully syncronised. I am running from memory that has a hard working forgetter though. I'll bet some one else will pop in and give a better answer.
Shoot If I had one I would happly give it to you, since I've became shiftless.
