Transmission problems
Hey guys I've been trying to get my truck going again and I'm running out of luck. I can't find a main shaft or input shaft anywhere. The tag on the side reads HEF AU. Does anyone know where I could locate these parts? Or if any of you have a spare 3 speed that would match I would be interested in purchasing it if the internals are good. Thanks in advance

Do you have the 1964-1972 Master Parts Catalog or how are you going about searching? The HEF-AU is covered by parts list 1A as you can see on this page within the yellow circle.

I see a good number of two possible input shafts available NOS.
Do you have the 1964-1972 Master Parts Catalog or how are you going about searching? The HEF-AU is covered by parts list 1A as you can see on this page within the yellow circle.

I can tell from combining those two charts above that yours should be the 24 helical tooth variety so this should be your link. Verify before you buy if you can, though.

I've dealt with all 3 of those vendors - each more than once - and they are all good.
As far as Mainshaft. Look at this picture and see if you can say what shaft you are referring to. I only see a Countershaft (7111) and the Countershaft Cluster Gear (7113), an Output shaft (7061) and the Reverse Idler Gear Shaft (7140) and the Reverse Idler Gear and Bushing (7141) but see what base part numbers you can see and I'll go from there.
