I have one up front, and one in the back. Although I heard it's better to take them off for off roading and stuff, more flex.

I don't run one with the hydro assist. The hydraulic ram seems to do a good enough job of dampening any vibrations.

I don't need a stabilizer (sway bar)since my axles are welded right to my frame via 4 foot long pieces of rebar.

I have 20. I didn't think that was too many until I got hung up on the bottom 4 of them when I was at the mall. I think 16 is a better number.

If you mean the complete kit you can buy it's here: http://westtexasoffroad.homestead.com/index.html Otherwise you can piece it together yourself for under $100.

I spent about $200 on my hydro assist if you include shipping. Way more effective than steering stabilizers.. If you dont get what everyone is saying, its that you either use one stabilizer or none at all. 2 or more is useless...

I have one stabilizer (just barely... it's so old and beaten, it probably some how increases bump steer) and zero sway bars. My truck is from the days where you just sort of point the wheel in the direction you want to go and hope that the truck agrees with you. I've got a disgustingly large drop pitman arm which I'm sure doesn't help anything...
