This isn't necessarily true. The more dampeners you use the less vibration you'll have in your steering (to an extent of course). The problem is that when you add multiple stabilizers you can dampen vibrations to the point that you don't know when something is majorly wrong with the TRE's, kingpins, ball joints, etc. So you can end up completely wearing out a critical steering component and not realize it until it's gone. So, more stabilizers means a better feel but it's less safe than just fixing the cause of the vibration.

So what exactly is your truck doing that makes you think the stabilizer isn't working right? Also, have you checked your stabilizer to see if it's leaking?

It seems to me, if your suspension is set up correctly (chiefly caster is correct to help iron out bump-steer), your suspension components aren't shot, and your wheels and tires aren't completely out of round, all you need is one or two stabilizers to help take the edge off of sudden jolts and the inevitable vibrations that come with 'certain types' of tires. Four... is obviously masking a big problem, or just for bling factor (why do people see a suspension/steering setup that is simple and works and think it has to be all complex and full of extra crap to be functional?)

Exactly... it helps in getting rid of vibrations... but only causes more trouble should there be a problem withany of the parts you mentioned... which is why you go one or none...imo

Yup. I've said it before and I'll say it again, if I can get away with my mungo custom lift and 44" boggers and be fine with one stablizer, nobody else should need more than one unless the have other problems that need addressed first. As soon as I go to hydroassist I'll lose that one.

No, he let me be the guinea pig since we're running a pretty much identical setup in our trucks.

Bremen, that was LOW . . . but damn funny.

Bwahahaha, now I owe ya

Yea, I used to sing that tune, figured h.a. was only neccessary for rocks. I mean, I've always been able to get by just fine with just x-over even with big tires in nasty mud.

That all changed early this year....

Yea, fishy, I got sidetracked building my shop and was waiting for Ivan to do his on the el-cheapo. I figured I could replicate his formula if it worked or just buy redneck rams kit if he ended up "steering" himself through a brick wall

hehe.. you know it.

I give ivan another 6 months.. he still might steer himself through a brick wall.

pro, I guess you'll have to chance since I am going to ask if anyone ever put hydro-assist on a TTB front??
