Adding Armrest To Seats
Anybody know what it would take to add armrest to my seats? I have an '05 with the 40/20/40 seats and I am in the process of adding the floor console and removing the 20 portion. The seats look the same as the ones in the the trucks with the floor console less the armrest. I would think the seat frame would be the same but I can not seem to get any help from the parts dept. They say all of the parts are sold individually but will not look anything up because they say it is too expensive and I need to find used seats. I have no problem doing the work myself but hate to take the seats apart and find that the frame is different enough that it is not possible.

Well, I know these is a big metal "stop" on the seats equipped with armrests that has to be cut off if you want to remove the armrests. That means that you'll have to find a way to add that stop. Sounds like you may be welding.
Have you removed the factory seat cover to see what is under there?
