hey if I remember right (please someone update this old mans memory) using the coil buckets off of a EB moves the springs a couple of inches out on each side which would make mounting the full width axle easier. Atleast I think thats the ones to try and get but I do remeber there was one you could use on the B2/ranger frames that would move the springs out a lot closer to the right width for the F150 axles.

THREAD HIJACK (although it does go with the topic at hand)

how would you go about moving the coil towers away from the frame?

thats why using the eb coil buckets because as I remember correctly they lean 2" per side farther out than the ones on the rangers and bronco 2s

I have thought about doing all of this but with my brothers old 92 ranger, I have the tranny t-case, and a d44 solid and 9"
Just have too finish other projects first.

Well if you haven't gathered I prefer the method of body swaps putting the ranger body on the F150 but I understand why some people want to keep the stock frame I guess.

Well, my idea was cause I have no f-150 chassis.
The 79 chassis I got the axles from was bent and I cut and sold for scrap, that includes the same bent and sold for the remains of my 83 bronco.

Also, I would rather brace the ranger chassis and build pipe extensions for the axles before pulling the body off.
Too me that sounds easier, also you won't have to change the mounts on the axles.
