I am looking at an MBRP single stainless turbo back 4" system for my 2002 F350 7.3. Can someone tell me how loud this system is? On my last gas truck (Dodge 5.9) I had the Flowmaster 40 with dual out and I don't want to go that loud again.
What you'll find is the turbo eats the vast majority of the exhaust volume/tone. So it'll be very mild for normal driving, but it you want to wail on it like an on ramp you'll hear it enough to entertain you etc. We started with MBRP when they made their 1st exhaust system, good products, fair prices and everybody likes them etc. If you have any questions just call.

By the way do a search on MBRP you'll get more reading than you care to try to read thru.
Like was said, its slightly louder inside not much. You mainly just hear the turbo whistle through the exhaust better (which i like ) if you are going by a wall, it will be louder but not inside. go for it, you will notice a little bit of difference with fuel milage (1-2 mpg) and slight performance. im doing intake next to really make her breathe good.
I have the 4" turbo back and in the instructions it says you can install the muffler 2 ways. One way being louder in the cab but not as loud outside and the other way is louder outside and not as loud inside. I like mine.
i have the 4'' aluminized in mine, and LOVE it. check my gallery for pics of it, but PM me if you want any more. i have the muffler so it lets the sound out (the louvers do not capture the exhaust) and it has an awesome choppy turbo flutter at idle, under light load at a low RPM, you can hear a nice turbo whine, not obnoxious, but enough to "mean business." i chose to go single-exit for price, at the time i bought it. looking back, i reget it, i wish i would have spent the extra $200 for dual. mine is actually quieter in the cab, and louder outside. with the windows up (or even down) you cant tell a difference until you really get into the throttle.
Thanks! Glad to be a part of this forum and looking forward to learning lots of things and asking questions. This is my first PSD but have been around them most of my life. I dont think I will ever go back to a gasser!!
, The exhaust and AFE Stage II went on yesterday! Big difference in how the truck feels. I have the Predator set on 60 HP and might try the higher settings just to see the difference but I am concerned about the transmission.
Thanks to all. This forum has been a great help.

Why doesn't my signature line show at the bottom of my posts?

U need to be a paid member for your sig to show up at the bottom of your post.
Just finished my test drive after bolting my 4" DP and 4" MBRP with muffler delete pipe. NICE! Is the flutter at idle normal? I had the original 3.5" straight-piped but the flutter wasn't as noticeable. By the way the MBRP system is a well bent kit everything cleared with room to spare.Did any of you guys leave it bolted or did you have it welded?

Glad you are happy with your truck.
If you want to show your signature, consider becoming a supporter of this web site. Last I checked it was $15.95 for annual subscription.
There is a three year option that gets you a t-shirt, too.
You get a lot of benefits, one is you get the supporter status, your signature shows up, you get access to the ClubFTE forum where there is a GREAT joke thread going. You'll laugh till you cry.
Another benefit is you don't have to look at all the ads. The content is spread out across the whole screen and things are much easier to read that way. http://www.clubfte.com/
yes the choppy turbo flutter is normal, and it sounds awesome.
i left mine bolted up, i like having the ability to take the exhaust apart in pieces, it was nice being able to remove the tail section to weld in the bung for the CCV mod, and i had to take the whole system off when removing the turbo. (at first i tried the screwdriver method and needed clearance.)
