Not completely certain about the earlier models but I know the later models require extending the two front lines AND the rear flexible line from the frame to the axle housing. I should think this would be the same scenario for your 79 as well.
I went up 4" and extended the lines 6" just for a bit more s-t-r-e-t-c-h at full drop.
There are 2 rear flexable lines from the frame to the axle if I remember correctally, but I'm not 100% sure.
Thanks for the info grey, so 7" should be ok for the front, and I need extended lines for the rear to right?
