Grease cap thread size

Does anyone know the thread size of the grease cap on a 79 F250 (2wd)spindle. I am in the process of putting king pins on my truck and messed up the threads some. I want to buy a tap to fix the threads but can't figure out what size it is. I do know it is slightly larger than an inch and some type of fine thread.

I know this was a long time ago, but did you ever figure this out, and if so, would anyone happen to have one I could borrow or rent please?
