Hello, Not new to the super duty or the 7.3L PSD. However just bought Momma a 2003 7.3L excursion and now I am wondering what size fuel tank it has? I know it is bigger then my F250 SD but ?????? size?
Thanks
Ford calls it a 44 gallon tank, but if you fill up the neck to the top, you might be able to sqeeze an extra couple of gallons in it. Just be carefull to drive it some after you fill it to the top of the neck, in case the cold fuel expands and leaks out of the tank.
Why don't the trucks come with those huge tanks? The LB is way bigger and it only gets 38...
As my pappy once said... "life isn't fair".
No idea and many have wondered for many years. Just glad my Excursion has 44 gallon tank as it really makes a different on long trips... just wish my bladder was as big!!!
When I get to the point where I'm running tires that will no longer fit in the spare location, I wonder if I could add an Excursion tank to my SD? It would be nice to have one gravity flow into the other...82 gallons!!!

Your bladder is not that big... so you will end up stopping for fuel every so often anyway.
Now... are you one of those guys that carrys extra soda bottles with them on long trips?
