Squeaking Noise???

I've had this problem for a while but never really payed much attention to it, but now its starting to get on my nerves. when you hit a bump or do anything to shake the truck, a squeaking noise will come from the front right wheel. its not a shrill noise and its not the lugs or anything on the wheel or tire, so has anyone had this problem or have any idea what the deal is. also, now that i have my duels put on when i start the truck it sounds like one of the pipes is rattling on its fitting, but all the fittings are tight. it will stop rattling after it gets put in gear and gets going, but at idle or in gear at idle it will rattle. any clue on how to fix that too?
thanks

As far as the squeak, I'm not sure. Depending on the mileage of your truck and all that it could be anything. As far as the rattling noise, I'd say have someone start it up and shut it off until you find the noise. I'm guessing that its a heat shield around the catilytic converter.

Squeals, try to see if it makes noise when only moving/turning or does it do it sitting still and like say bumped or rocked around? Double check the right front wheel and caliper for binding, or loose pins. Maybe the power steering pump, but that is on the driver side mostly. What type of truck?
Check obvious stuff on suspension if havent already.

and honestly ive already taken the heat shields off because the bolts on them rattled loose and stripped themselves and i havent had a chance to get new bolts.

Squeak !!

Try checking thr radius arm where it connects to the frame. Mine appeared O'K on the surface, but closer inspection revealed cracks in the bracket where the rubber bushings insulate the vibration. The parts are from Ford only, and aren't that expensive. To replace just cut off the rivits and remove the bracket and replace the rivits with hardened bolts.
Took care of my squeak. (Metal flexing in the cracks = squeak) in mine anyhow,
a little over an hour of time. If you wait awhile that squeek will turn into a clunk when you turn the wheel just right and go from reverse to forward.
Be sure to get new rubber bushings also or the new aftermarket poly type.

Later, Howard
Good Luck!
