Loose column shifter
Anybody know a fix for a loose auto column shifter for a 1994 F350?
Took the covers off and it looks like the pin that goes into the housing
and the shift lever has elongated the holes.Just wondering if there is a
cheap repair or do I have to replace the complete unit.

Had the same problem. Easy fix. Just lay on your floorboard and look up underneath the dash around the steering rod. If you wiggle the shifter while you look, you will see a shiny piece of metal moving around. Theres a couple of bolts that hold that on that are probably loose. Once you get under there you'll be able to tell what im telling you.

^^^ That is more than likely the problem. One of those bolts actually slipped out of that bracket and hit my foot. It was a gold-colored Torx bolt. Tightened all the bolts up and slop was gone.
