C6 Transmission Tailshaft Question
Hello Everyone,
I have a 1995 Ford Ranger 2wd. I'm installing a 351W w/ C-6 trans. Ok the transmission came from a 1984 Ford Bronco Full Size 4x4 I want to make the trans 2wd. It had the adapter between the transfercase and the transmission. Is there a "short" tailhousing for the C6 trans or is there only a 13 1/2" tailhousing? If there is a shorter housing does anyone know where I could find one or how to go about looking for one? ie: what vehicles it came on etc., or am I doomed to tear down the trans and change out the output shaft? Any help would be immensly appreciated. Thank you for your time,
