I am not sure but I went back out the same day and at idle went back to 900 in park when warmed up and 1200 while in drive with the foot on the brake. Makes me wonder if My IAC is not getting ready to go. So the question again by the book what should the idles be in park and warm and in drive with foot on brake (warm). seems there are two standards, confused minds want to know.
I have the same type problem. Where is the IAC control located at on 01 F150? It kinda driving me nuts, have to try something. Also what do you you to clean the MAF sensor. I was told one time that they are so delicate you would break if you tried to clean it.
I have cleaned the IAC earlier in the week, also checked for vacuum leaks (and actually changed the egr valve gasket cuz it looked like it might have been leaking). I might just change the $84.00 IAC just to rule it out, i didnt want to do that and throw the money away if thats not the problem. Could dirt from the plug change be causing all this??? Cuz, the reason I changed the plugs was i noticed a rough idle intermitently, but it has been a constant rough idle/miss since the change?????? I kinda ruled the plugs out ,cuz FORD dealer had it all day and said it was running great, couldnt duplicaite problem....so, i am sure that when they had it on the computer it would of gave some kind of code???? More sugestions would be great...thanx for the help so far.
