Edge Attitude Mount

I've been less than impressed with the mounting bracket Edge sends with their Attitude for some time now. Thankfully the '05 Super Duty trucks have the perfect spot to mount your attitude module.

First step: remove the back cover of your Attitude module. Then drill a hole large enough for the connector to go through. This will allow the cable to exit the rear of the module and be invisible after the install.

Second step: Drill a hole in your dash! Yeah, this was the hard part for me, too. Obviously you don't want the hole any larger than necessary, so I just measured the end of the Attitude's connector and matched it up to the right size bit. You will want to make sure that this hole lines up with the hole you drilled in step one as the back of the Attitude and the dash will fit almost flush. I took the rear panel of the Attitude and held it up to the dash in the spot where I wanted it and marked the dash with a permanent marker through the hole. This is the foolproof approach.

Next, I just took a piece of foam-based double-sided tape and stuck it in place. It holds perfectly and is a perfect fit.

Enjoy!

bmzero,

You arent' the first to say that, that's why we got with Gauge Works and designed the A pillar mount and the overhead mount for the Attitudes. The A pillar just clamps over the stock A pillar and under the Grab handle if you have one and the Attitude pops into it's molded location, the overhead goes above the rear view mirror next to the headliner. Both look great and are totally out of the way and easily visible as you drive etc.

Mark,

I have seen the products you're referring to, and you're right, they both look top notch. I just went for the cheap and easy way out. If you're too skeered to drill holes in your dash, definitely call Mark.
