Hi,

It looks like the electrical keyswitch on my tailgate is nackered - everything works ok from the daskboard switch so its not the usual motor or latch interlock. Any idea where I can get one from? JBG doesn't list it, nor Autozone. I note it has a separate supply from CB14 so I'll check that first but if its a CB it should have reset by now unless there is a wire shorted to ground in the loom somewhere.

Anyone got a spare I could beg/ steal/ borrow/ trade?

jeffs bronco graveyard has the part. you have to get the whole harness to get that switch. look under tailgates for your application, they have them

 

damn, don't want to have to buy a whole harness - is the switch not avaliable as a separate part?

 

With the amount of stress and corosion in that harness, you are better off replacing it. Really simple. Plug and play.
