I have two types. I use Revos for my 4x4 Power Stroke and Dueler ATs on our 2 wheel drive Trooper. The Revos feel much more positive in the rain but that may be due to the weight of the truck and not so much the differnce in tire. Same with the snow...the Revos really grip well compared to the Dueler ATs but then again my truck weighs 7700 lbs. (not sure what the Isuzu weighs but I think it's around 5200 lbs or so). If our Trooper was 4x4 then I could compare fairly.

Hmm, tough call to make. All highway but some snow. Dueler HT would be perfect for highway, maybe suffer a bit in the snow. The ATs would be a better compromise but don't forget that the REVOs have a 50k mile warranty. The REVOs probably have more road noise (I can't tell because of the diesel engine) but the warranty is great.

I would probably decide on the Dueler AT tire if the snow storms are mild and not too frequent. If the snow is heavy at times...you probably need the REVOs.

Tough decision

A/v?

Sorry Spaznaut, real new to this here... by the A/T you mean the Revos instead of the Duelers? or do I have A/T and non A/T options with both?

There are several "Duelers". I'm not sure how many but you can check out their website. Looks like they have MT, HTS, HT, HP, HL Alenza, AT and AT REVOs.

AT means "All Terrain". I have no clue about the rest. Way back when, MS would be for Mud and Snow and H for Highway but there are a lot of "H" types now so you may have to research their website and read about the various uses.

My vehicles spend time off road so I pretty much stick to AT tires.

As someone else said, there are "regular" Dueler A/T's, and also Dueler A/T Revos, so you need to be a little careful when ordering, etc.

I put a set of Revos on my 2000 EB Expy at 60,000 miles (replacing the original Goodyear Wrangler RT/S). I now have 106,000 miles on the car, and have been totally happy with the Revos for those 46,000 miles. I don't know if I will make 60k miles with them, but it will be at least 50-55k. In comparison with the Goodyears they are better handling in both wet and dry, squeel less around corners, and are also quieter. Plus, the Goodyear's cupped badly, leading to a lot of vibration. This hasn't been a problem with the Revo's.

I will probably get another set of Revo's when this set wears out.

For a more road-oriented tire, a very good value is the Firestone Destination LE. These incorporate most of Bridgestone's SUV tire technologies, but are priced a bit lower with the Firestone brand. I put a set of these on my son's Escape, to replace the original Continental Contitrac's. The improvement was huge! These tires seem to handle well, and are VERY smooth and quiet. I believe they will also last pretty well. They are not as good as the Revos, but are a lot less money. But I don't know for sure if they come in the right size(s) for Expeditions.
