i have a 2001 f250 V10 4x4 auto. the shifts are getting to be alittle wimpy and starting to slip..... what upgrades have been have you done? what works? what doesnt? i think the stock tranny is a 4r100 or something like that...
Superchips tuner avalible right here on this site. I used one on my 02 100k 5.4 4r100 and what a differance. Many other features besides firming up the tranny, and easy to use!
well i have the hypertech programmer. it allows me to change the shift pionts by up to 500 RPM, and increases shift firmness(very little). i know there is like rebuild/shift kits. are they worth the time and moeny, because the electronic tuner is doin very little for performance besides letting me rev out first and secound an extra 4 and 300 RPMs. BIG-WHOOP!!!!
Do the mechanical mods, tuners and programmers just bump line pressure which isn't good at all.
I did the Sonnex valve and Tricummulator Springs in my '99 V10 and the shifts were great. I hope you like the shifting of a sports car cause that is what youa re going to feel like you are driving.
