Its getting time for new tires on my 4x4 and I'm pretty sure I want to upsize from the current 245/75 16's (30.5" od) that are on there now. I do want to keep my stock 16x7" rims though and I'm not lifting either.
Through researching other threads and websites I've narrowed it down to 2 options. 265/75 (roughly 32" tires) which would give me slightly more width and height to fill out the wells pretty nicely. There are also plenty of A/T and M/T options for me.
The other option is 255/85 (33" tires). Not much increase in width, but a lot more height. These should fit except maybe need a couple turns on the torsion bars. But I'm not sure how they will look or drive and my options are much more limited.
Has anyone used this tire size before? How do they look and handle? Is there anyone with these that have pictures as well?
I run 265/75's. They handle fine, lots of ground clearance.
As for looks, they look big, but still enough room in wheel well.
The trucks drives faster than it shows on speedo now though.
A person has to change out a gear or something to correct the
speed and readout difference.

Same here!
But, If you want to correct your speedometer, you will need a speedometer calibrator. Just plug it in and it will do the rest.
I'm running 285/75/r16 BFG M/T's on my 97' and if you read the "Gears or not?" thread you will see my hp issue, other than that they look great and make the truck handle better off road
