Question??? SD Price?

I have been getting that new truck itch again . I have been checking on F-250's, Crew cab, 4x4 S.O.F., XLT, PSD, Auto, a mid range optioned truck. I specd out an 05 before the family plan and the rebates came out, and it was right around 43 grand, give or take 500. I have been recently looking at 06 trucks and they are around 46 grand, give or take 500 . This is for pretty much the same truck.

Here in lies the question. Did ford raise the price on them that much? Is ford jacking up the price of these trucks in anticipation of having to bring back the so called "Ford Family Plan" to move these trucks in mid 06? Just wondering why they have jumped so much in price... I know things usually cost more each passing year but man these thing are starting to get really pricey. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this.

Believe it or not, Ford actually LOWERED the sticker price of the '06 by about $1000, and the invoice price by $350. Why you're seeing the increase is the difference between Ford Family Pricing (or A-Plan, which is significantly below dealer invoice) on the 05s, which isn't available on the '06s, and the lower rebate on the '06.

As Ernie and I have been preaching since Ford started A-Plan for everyone in July, if you can find a 2005 truck that comes close to what you're looking for, BUY IT. At this late stage in the game, however, there's almost nothing left in a S/D diesel crew cab.

I kept reading posts from some FTE'ers wondering if the incentives would get better after the F&F stuff comes off. If Ford and GM extend this again, there's going to be a lot of franchise points for sale. From a consumer standpoint, it's a great deal, but from a dealer standpoint, 4.5% gross margins don't keep the lights on.

I got a 2005 F-250 crewcab lariet in may before the family plan came out and the sticker was $42,080 I just went to ford direct and built the exact same truck in a 2006 model and it came to $42560 or about $480 bucks more than the 2005 which seems about normal bty this was sticker price not invoice.
