HELP! Bronco 4wd lever stuck/binding on transfer case?
Hi!
I have an '88 EB Bronco 351/C6 and the 4wd drive lever on the floor WILL NOT budge. I have unhooked the actual linkage that connects to the transfer case to change to 2H, 4H, N, and 4L. I CAN change drive by going under the truck and manually switching it on the transfer case. So the transfer case is fine and not binding up or anything, its the actual lever part. I have taken the boot part off on the floor to get a view from above. I have also taken the lever off of the "pivot thing" on the side of the transfer case. Does anyone have any idea what is binding up or getting stuck, because the thing won't budge, even with help from hammer. Does anyone have any idea what I'm talking about or what to do about this? This has only happened ever since I rebuilt the tranny and put it and the transfer case back in.
Please help!
