hello, i was hoping someone could shed some light on my problem.
i have a 77 f250, my brake lights and turn signals are on the fritz. for about the last half week my brake lights havent been working when my headlights (or parking lights) are on. the turn signals have been working on and off for the last few weeks. when they do work, they stick on a lot. the passenger side seems to work more often than the driver side. when they do blink, it is a lot faster than normal.
i went through and put a good bulb on each turn signal/brake light. it didnt do the trick.
do you guys have any ideas? need more info, i got it, just ask.
thanks!
Sloth,
In my experience, the two things that create the most demonic experiences when trying to trace down electrical flaws, are first; Bad Grounds, and second, a bad turn signal switch. A bunch of magic happens in that little bugger and strange organization of your killywinkle output is consistent with a failure. -Dale
well, in regard to the bad turn signal switch... the signals havent been flipping off after a turn for about 2 or 3 years now. would that be a sign of a bad switch?
i have a 76 f-250 and my turn signal switch has never turned itself off in the year and i half i've had the truck and my lights work. its just that something is broken inside the turn signal modular unit thinger bobber.
