I've bought a couple from Wal-Mart (they don't get much cheaper) and they worked fine. At least until you loose the keys.

Once in a while you'll get one that will cause the check engine light to come on, but I've never had it happen to me and I've had a locking gas cap on my Bronco for years. I don't know the brand name offhand, but it's pretty much six of one and a half dozen of the other. Just don't lose the keys - they are hard as heck to break off with a hammer and screwdriver. If I ever lose my key I'm calling a locksmith, might cost a few bucks at least they won't break it and they can make me another key.
