1997 F450 Help
I just got it running but it will on rev to about 2500 RPMS...I drove it around the block and it would barley go even with the pedal to the floor...I have replace fuel filter,CPS,Barreries, and I have about 50 psi of fuel pressure...Do you think it is the ICP...I tried unplugging the ICP and it ran a little rough and the check engine light came on so I reset the computer and check engine light is off now...Thanks

Will not rev over 2200 rpms...I bought a scanner and it is not giving any codes at all...What next...I think I am going to give up and put the truck on ebay for sale and go buy a new truck..

Fuel is 50 psi running...I just put the new ICP on it but no change.. it still only revs to 2200 rpms...and tries to die when I put it into drive..I put the old cps back on it but still no change....New oil,filters,cps,icp,batteries...I even washed the stupid thing..I give up...What next glow plugs and injector o rings maybe..or oil pressare switch...Please help...

What kind of scanner did you buy? Like 1997F-350 noted earlier...not that many of them work on the diesels.
Has the check engine light come back on since your've started working on it?

. i h8 gas.............it will let you know when it wants to go.anyways please enlighten us on the past. what brought all this on. did you just buy it??? sitting for a while????
do you know anyone with a snap on scanner? i would be curious what your running pressures are and what a buzz test turns up. have you checked uvc harnesses? is your oil low/old?
try and find a 1 man show mech shop who can help you if hes got one. you know the kind of place that isn't busy as all hell. please keep us updated.
whats the fuel like in the filter bowl? was your water in fuel light ever on recently?
