I don't know about a website, but I have some manuals that list most of the paint codes for 67-72. Unfortunately, they don't list them all, which I know because none tell me what my 69 "D" code is (I think it is the color listed in the brochure as "empire yellow", but that still doesn't help my body guy any). Post the code you want deciphered and I'll look it up for you. In the meantime, if anyone has better info on what a 69 F100 "D" paint code means, let me know.

JJ: You must be do'in' something wrong, pal. I looked up my paint code on paintscratch.com (THEN I found it on my truck), I ordered a can of spray paint, a two-oz bottle of touchup. When I gottem, I tried them - dead on! Or as they say back home - If it'da been any gooder, I couldn'ta stood 'er.

They do have Ford trucks (at least they did a couple of weeks ago); try the site again.

Paintscatch.com does not have listings for 67-72 Ford trucks. They may have them for later model trucks, but that far back all they list are Mustang color codes (which in some cases, but not all, are the same as the truck codes).

If it REALLY is missing, I wonder if it came out of the factory only in Primer because they wanted a special paint later?
Are there a bunch of letters/numbers around the DSO code?

There are a bunch. I have been using your site to try to decipher them. Here's what it looks like. I'm still unsure of the meaning of the absent Exterior Paint Code and Front Axle Code. I haven't found a reference to Decipher the Interior Trim (DAM) and the Special Order Codes (1218). My last query is why the heck does it say Made in Canada on the door VIN?

The number after the District Code is the D.S.O. consecutive unit number. It just tells you it’s the Nth special order for that particular district. When the truck was new they put a blue envelope in the glove box for the customer with that number on it and listed all the special order options that it came with. The dealer got a white envelope with the same info inside and kept it on file for future reference.

That's strange..... My interior exterior paint is a bright yellow.... and the interior is black and grey. There is no sign of anything that is close to being red. The shipping invoice for my pickup incl.
