Uh oh. This is a great day for Siegfried, and KAOS
You sure it's not the ol "Don Adams died yesterday and got posted on FTE trick?"
second time I fell for that this week.
I'll miss ya Don.
Hymie and agent 44 (disguised as my coffee up) will too.

I don't think anyone under the age of 40 will understand just how much we "old farts" will miss Don and his one-of-a-kind humor.
I'm 31, but I got to see quite a few "Get Smart" reruns on cable as I was growing up. I was bummed when I heard the news. Good clean humor, and I can still hear that nasal voice in my head with all the quotes above.
When I read the thread title, I was tempted to ask, "What did he pass?" But I won't.
That car was Hot......and so was agent 99..lol. R.I.P. Mr Adams, you brought a whole lotta laughs to a whole lotta people in your time..you will be missed.
Let's not forget he was also the voice of Tennesee Tuxedo. And he also drove a Karman Ghia, and there were appearances by a customized 66 Mustang fastback and a convertible Shelby. Hopefully TVLand will do a Get Smart marathon.

"Chumlee, I think It's time we went to see Mr. Whoopee." Anybody rememebr the show Don Adams' Screen Test? Sort of a mid seventies version of American Idol, but all the contestants did was act a short scene, either a made up one, or a famous scene (Balcony scene, for instance)...
Any of the older crowd here know which movie star he based the voice of Agent 86 on? You'd have to be a real fan of "golden era of Hollywood" to know this one. Don Adams started his career impersonating famous people, so it was only natural he'd pick a famous "private eye" to emulate.

That's a hard one, Jeff...but if I had to guess it would be Humphrey Bogart, but only because Don was real good at impersonating him.
