In that case, I'd swap over the firewall, dash, controls, wiring, etc. Gonna be tough.

I found a place online called ackits.com.They can sell me the entire underdash air for $680.00. That includes the compressor.everything but freon.sounds like the easier way plus everything is new.What yall think?

We seem to have a tangled web of topics here. Simple grommets can be purchased at Radio Shack. More complex gromets can be found at Electronic or Electrical supply houses.
$680 for all new with tech help sounds like a good deal. Some of those aftermarket units can be a little cheesy tho. Watch the quality.
I am building my own system but I have access to materials and fabricators beyond the norm. It will probably cost less than half of that price (with the beer) but everything will not be new and replacement parts would be a little fun. So the system you found starts looking better:-)
