Brake/Rotor Noise
Hi ya guys just traded in my 99 Super Duty (boo hoo) for 2005 Excursion 4x4 with V10, has factory tow package. Hope someone can answer a problem. Bought it used with 4,000 miles two weeks ago. Had to get hay yesterday and hauled it on a 20 ft trailor with 8 large bales at about 2400 pounds through western MD and PA back home to Northern VA. Needless to say a mountain area. We didn't seem to have any problems haulin except that we were used to the 6 speed Deisel F250. This morning we expereinced horrible rotor noise. Excursion drifted when brakes were appiled. Any idea what's going on? Also, the more info you can give me on this SuV I'd really appreciate. Don't bother tellin' me about it being a gas hog! I don't know what I was thinkin!!! Except we needed more of a family vehicle. Thanks!!
