ford warrants replaced ford parts for 12mos. 12k miles, 3yr 36k on assy's such as a trans or long block,labor and towing is also included

I'm not too sure about US policies (although I can't imagine them being too much different), a Ford Quality Rebuilt engine or trans. comes with a 2 year, 40,000km (whatever that is in miles) warranty. Any other repairs are covered for one year and 20,000km, with the exception of a repair being done under regular vehicle warranty, then failing after the vehicles warranty has expired, in that case the repair that was done under warranty is covered for 3 months and 8,000km from the repair date.

I had something fixed on my truck under the standard 3/36 warranty. A few month later the part broke again. It was 93 days since the repair. I was also now past the 3/36 warranty. I was told 90 days parts and labor. It was a simple fix and it took about 1/2 hour to do it my self. The reason for the repair was for a tailgate latch.
