I have a 99 EB, with the built in Signal Mirrors, that the silver has decided to melt or drip off the back. I know there has been a lot of talk on the boards a while back as to the replacement of these mirrors.. and that that program may have ended.
I finally got around to callign MUTH, and was pleasantly surprised that they would still replace teh mirrors on my 99 EB under warranty! I did have to pay up front to have them ship out, but when they receive my old mirrors back they will refund my card. The cost was $219 (which is cheaper than Ebay even if I dont get refunded).
I spoke with Chris and Sue there, and theywere very helpful.

Just wanted to give a heads up for those with the signal mirrors.
does Muth send you a new mirror glass with the led arrow in it or do they send you the entire mirror housing and all? if just the glass, how do you remove yours from the housing?
Mine arrived last night. I'll be replacing them this weekend. I'll try to remember to take some pics.
But, yes, it is just the mirror and the backing plate. and a few books of instructions. I kow that they have the instructiosn on site too. www.muthco.com and it doesnt look too hard.
They did for my 98, give them a call.
Not to hijack this thread or anything, but I was installing the new mirrors today and no matter how hard I press them in they will not fully "click in". The instructions simply say to push the center of the mirror in and it sould snap in place, but when I do this and move the mirror to its outermost point it becomes very loose(it doesnt feel as tight as the factory mirrors were). If anyone has any suggestions as to what I might be doing wrong please chime in. Thanks.
Greenscobbie, push fairly hard in all 4 quadrants of the mirrors. I replaced mine today and had the same thing.. The 2 pegs that move the mirror are probably not 100% seated.. make sure you push them in fairly good.. you should head a solid THUNK when those posts seat.
