Remote start question
I bought a 2003 Ford F350 and it has the ford remote starter, Four button remote. The siren was disconnected and I reattached it. The truck seems to be in a Valet mode. I set the alarm and open the door and nothing happens. If I hold the alarm button the siren rings so I know it works. I didn't get a manual with the truck and the dealer is getting one. Does anybody have instructions on if and how to set and shut-off the Valet mode. The alarm chirps about three times when I set it. Any suggestions??

On my old truck with ford remote and alarm, the flashing alarm light was also an on off button on the dash. When it was double blinking you are in valet, or alarm off. If you held it for a bit, the light would change to single flash and then locking doors will alarm set. this button was on the dash visible. there was also an alarm light off button hidden under the steering wheel which can be used to silence the alarm momentarily. Seperate to this look for an on off rocker switch. This is an on off for the remote start. It is to be shut off when working under the hood or truck ect so someone can't accidentally start truck while you are changing the fan belt ect. So to reset alarm and remote start. Set rocker to on, set flashing light to alarm so its blinking one flash at a time. Should work.
