Keyless entry question
Hello folks. I have a 97 F350 CC 4x4. It is a XLT with power everything. The previous owner didn't have the orginal keys and I was wondering if the truck has keyless entry on it too. I wasn't sure if it was and option in 97 or not. I had the lower part of the dash off under the steering wheel when I was installing guages on it and noticed it had around a 4"x4" box near the radio that had 'ford keyless entry' on it. Does that just run the power locks or what? If it does have keyless entry, where can I get the keyfobs and program them at? Thanks for the help.

Ebay is where I would buy. They are cheap there and some sellers tell you how to program them.

yes that box under there with white sticker on it is for keyless entry. so your truck has it and you are good to go. buy a used fob on ebay for 15.00. make sure you buy the right one. if buying one from a guy "remotesuperstore" email me. so i can advise you on the right one to buy. he has the years all screwed up on em. but there are many sellers of these things out there. turn key on and right above your go pedal(accelerator) is gonna be a grey plug with 2 prongs in it. stick a screwdriver in there making it ground out. this will cause your locks to cycle. then push a button on your fob. this will then cause locks to cycle again. if doing another fob also do it now. if not turn keyy off and shut door. then try fob should be working. congrats you have keyless entry now.
p.s. a ford ranger and explorer i think 93-?? fobs are the same as ours. if you need a picture of the right one pm me.
