tranny swap
what is involved in swapping a 5 speed in for a 4 speed in a '79 4x4, do i need to move my TC? drive shaft is a one piece do i need to shorten/lenghten it? i really would like a 5th or i am going to end up killing my truck racing buddies on the highway.

if you get the right tranny it should be easy to do. do a search and you will find most of what you need to know. the most popular tranny is the clark like what were in the 80s dump trucks or anything that size im pretty sure. even a school bus too
