I Have A 85 F250 With A Stock 6.9l In It.the Exhaust On It Now Is Pretty Well Butchered.i Want To Run New Exhaust All The Way Back.a Little Performance And Mpg Gain Would Be Nice.what Are Your Suggestions?thank You.
Great system for the 6.9/7.3. This is what I plan to install on my 85 F250. 3" mandrel bent tubing from the manifolds back to the tailpipe. Just under $300 delivered to my door.
Well you are right it is for the 7.3 powerstroke but i made it fit to my truck.
I couldnt use the whole system with out cuttin my exhaust at the Y pipe. which i didnt do. So next best thing i unbolted it from the front of the muffler back, then the part i unbolted all was scraped except for the flange that i unbolted. I then used the flange and cut the small pipe that is on it down to about 3" long and welded a piece of 1/8" cut round of diameter of 5" and cut a hole directly in the center of it 2.5" diameter. I slid the small part with the flange in the flat steel an inch or so and welded in place with no weld holes. then welded a small piece of the kit which was 4" in diameter and about 8" long to the other side of the metal. then bolted it back up and just clamped together the rest of the system as it was intended to. The distance worked out all i had to bolt together was the muffler to the piece i made and on the other side of the muffler directly to the tailpipe. I ended up not using a 3' piece of the system but still sounds good anyway.

there no exhaust too big with these the bigger the better. so the only question is your budget you may want to run (to keep it cheaper) dual exhaust in smaller pipes or just find a good powerstroke exhaust at a exhaust shop and put that on. My truck has 3" duals and headers made a big difference in power.
