I put a 40/20/40 seat (power drivers side)out of a 96 crewcab ford in my non-crew cab 78. This was a major pain in the rear end. seat mounts had to be cut and new holes drilled in the floor. I think I will end up taking them out and either selling them or redoing the mounting because it seems like I'm sitting too high. Will admit, the center console with cup holders that flips up to make a third seat is real handy.
My freind has Mustang bucket seats in his F-100. Suposedly it came with them from the Factory? It has a 390 in it also. Some sort of really special & rare truck from what I understand.
The guy I bought my truck form put some leather 6 way power seats in. They were out of a rolled explorer. Funny thing is there was still glass and gravel in the map pockets. All he did to mount them was level the seats with 2 inch square tubing under the mounts where the floor was lower. The bad thing is I dont have any place to seat a 3rd person except for a plastic crate that I keep in the back. They are very comfortable but I think i am going to try finding a 40/20/40 power seat.
I was thinking about doing the same but I can see it now. Let's see, I'm driving, the lab is sitting in the passenger seat (He ALWAYS insists on riding shotgun) and my wife is going to sit on a wobbly old milk crate. I guess one of them can ride in the bed. By law do I have to tether the old lady back there like I would the dog?

I installed a set of power leather bucket seats out of a 99 monte carlo, I made a frame out of tubing and bolted to the stock mounts. also with the space in between I made a sub box that houses 2 12" subs.
